SA 134

EFW (arc) straight or spiral seam pipe NPS 16 and over diameter with wall thick up to 19 mm inclusive. The steel from which the pipe is made shall conform to spec.. A283 , A 285 , A570 or A36 or to other ASTM spec.. for equally suitable weldable material, as specified.

SA 139

Covers five grades of EFW straight or spiral seam steel pipe in PNS 4 to 92 inclusive with nominal wall thickness up to 25.4 mm inclusive. The pipe is intended for conveying liquid , gas or vapour.

Covers nominal wall steel pipe piles of cylindrical shape. (the steel cylinder acts as a permanents load carrying member, or as a shell to form cast in place concrete piles. The pipe piles may be made any of the following seamless, electric welded, flash welded, fusion welded.

A381

Covers straight seam, double SAW pipe suitable for high pressure service, 406 mm and larger in outside diameter. With wall thickness from 7.9 to 38mm. The pipe is intended for fabrication of fitting and accessories for compressor or pump station piping . The weld shall be preferably by the automatic SAW press .All pipe after welding shall be  heat treated at a temperature of 593O C or higher.

± 0.50% of the specified OD for the OD based on circum measurement, Expect that in sizes 610 mm and smaller this tolerance shall be + 3.2 mm.

SA 714

Covers seamless and welded high-strength low alloy steel pipe .NPS ½ to NPS 26 Inclusive. Class - These high strength low alloy steel have enhanced resistance to general atmospheric corrosion by weathering as commonly encountered in rural , urban, marine and industrial environments. Class 2 having corrosion resistance equivalent to that of carbon steel with copper (0.20 min Cu) and class- 4 having corrosion resistance substantially better than that of class2 class4 steels when properly exposed to the atmosphere can be used bare of many applications.

API 2B

Covers the fabrication of structural steel pipe from steel with longitudinal and circumferential butt welded seams, typically in sizes 14” outside diameter(OD) and larger with wall thickness 3/8 inch and greater (upto a nominal 40 feet in length) suitable for use in construction of welded offshore structures.

The outside circumference at any point in a length of pipe shall be within ±1% of the nominal circumference of within ±12.7 mm , whichever is less

1 % or 6.35 mm maximum for wall thickness upto and including 50.8 mm. For wall thickness exceeding 50.8 mm the maximum permitted deviation shall not exceed as out-of roundness to wall thickness ratio of 1:8. For pipe exceeding 48” in diameter, a maximum deviation of 12.7 mm shall be permitted provided the circumference tolerance is maintained within ±6.35 mm

The diameter of pipe furnished to this specification shall be as specified by the purchaser.
